I purchased our ALEX drawer units several years ago when we were short on space, and they’ve really been useful for keeping us organized over the years. Today I want to share how we use them to keep our homeschool materials organized and tucked away within our living room.
Each of the units is 14″ wide, 23″ deep, and 27 1/2″ tall. This makes the drawers wide and deep enough to hold two stacks of standard size textbooks and workbooks. They’re also great for holding other materials like our chalkboards, office supplies, manipulatives, and even our bigger FlexBinders I used for our printed Good & Beautiful Math and Language lessons.
The units are designed to be able to place a desktop spanning two units if desires (pictured in listing) and are strong enough to be stacked on top of each other (as we have done in the past!) For now, I just use the top for additional storage and it doubles as a side table to the chair situated nearby.
When I purchased the two units for ourselves, white was the only color option and they were a fair amount cheaper. But if I had to buy them all over again today I would definitely still spend the asking price as they have been tremendously helpful. And I’m absolutely loving their new turquoise color!
